Custom print design FAQs:
What types of print projects can you create?
Our graphic designers can complete nearly any print project you have in mind! We have experience creating everything from billboards and product packaging to business cards and stationery.
Do you print at your studio?
We do not. Instead, we work with reliable print companies who provide exceptional printing services. Additionally, we carefully inspect every project to ensure it meets our quality standards before our clients receive the print materials.
Will you ship the print materials to me?
We can ship your materials to you! Please note that there will be a shipping cost, which will vary based on your project.
Can I use the same design for various projects?
Our team would not recommend it. Every project is created with a defined purpose in mind; a design that looks and performs well on one printed material may have the opposite effect on another. As such, it is best to work with designs that are made specifically for your project.
Can I select the paper for my project?
We would be happy to have your input for this important part of the project! To ensure you choose the best option for your print materials, our designer will advise you with our knowledge about the specific project, target audience, and budget.
We have a vast selection of base paper options that are heavy and suitable for a range of print projects. For a luxurious and unique look, we can also offer specialty printing.
What does CMYK mean?
This refers to the four ink colours that printers typically use. CMYK stands for cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black). The inks are carefully mixed and balanced to ensure your finished print materials match their digital proofs.
What does “bleed” mean?
When creating a print project, professional designers consider every detail to ensure the design looks its best. As such, you may hear your designer mention the “bleed” or “bleed lines” when discussing your print materials.
The “bleed” is some extra print that extends past the trim edges on your materials. The “bleed lines” ensure that the design extends to the end of the material it is printed on. These design components will both prevent unwanted borders and make sure that important details are not cut off when the materials are printed and cut.
